CHALLENGE RATING: Significant climbs and descents, heavily overgrown sections, potential snowfall, mud scrambling.

Come with us on a group trail running adventure to cross the beautiful Yarra Ranges, as we point to point run across 2 days from Fernshaw in the north to Powelltown in the south.  Grab your running gear and an overnight bag and jump on the Trail Bus in the city. Our bus will transfer you from our city pick up point on the Saturday morning, stopping for food and coffee before dropping us off at our run start point on the Black Spur rd at Fernshaw picnic grounds. From here we begin our day 1 running with 31km and 1650m climbing through the towering Mountain ash forest to a spectacular ridge line that borders Yarra Ranges National Park and Marysville. We will follow the trail over Mt Vinegar, The Knobs, Mt Boobyalla  and Mt Donna Buang before descending into the Warburton township and finish point. The next morning we hit the trails again at 8:00am. We will run from the Alpine hotel through the Yarra State Forest towards Powelltown and the awaiting pub finish point. This day we will cover 28km and climb 1350m, taking in some amazing, immersive, lush forest, challenging climbs and ever changing trail types and scenery. This is a true trail challenge that will be supported by all our regular trail safe standards, our fun loving guides right there with you and our bus on emergency stand by. What better way to take in the amazing beauty of the Yarra Ranges.

The Yarra Ranges spans an extensive, mountainous area of cool temperate forest around the three towns of Marysville, Healesville and Warburton. This national park is home to the world’s tallest flowering tree, the Mountain Ash, which towers over lush tree ferns and mossy Myrtle Beech. Dark gullies are home to clear streams which feed the Yarra River and major reservoirs from which Melbourne draws its drinking water.
