Come with us on a group trail running adventure through the historical gold rush region of Creswick. Creswick is a town in west-central Victoria, Australia 18 kilometres north of Ballarat and 122 km northwest of Melbourne, in the Shire of Hepburn. Creswick is a former gold-mining town, established during the Victorian gold rushes in the 1850s.
Our Creswick Loop is a 22km , 500m Elevation circuit run. With breaks this run should take approximately 3-3 1/2 hrs to complete.
Starting and finishing in town at The American Hotel, Our tour takes in:
- Ballarat-Creswick Regional Park
- Sections of the Goldfields Track
- St Georges Lake
- Cosgrove Reservoir
- gold mining water races and diggings
- Creswick Plantation
- 4WD climb
- Brackenbury Hill climb and Lookout.
We have something for everyone on this run which will be lead by our experienced trail running, fun loving tour guides, who lead a variety of ability pace groups.
Our bus will stop for coffee and food enroute and post run we will grab some local food and drink at our finish point The American Hotel, before returning to Melbourne.

What to bring-
- A minimum of 2 litres of water to carry
- Good condition trail shoes
- suitable running sports wear to suit the weather
- Enough snacks/food to last you your time out on course
- Any emergency medications you may need

For those purchasing a Trail bus ticket. The bus will leave 6:00am from the main entrance to the NGV on St Kilda Rd. Please make sure you ad the Bus transfer product to your cart.
Please note: the return to city transfer will not leave until all runners have returned from all runs. This means the short course runners can remain with the trail bus until pick up or enjoy the Creswick sites including The Botanical Gardens, The University grounds and the Calembeen Park Ponds and there are plenty of good cafes in town.
We strongly recommend having air ambulance cover for this run and all trail runs, due to costs and difficult of access in the remote terrains.
