The Hidden Trails of Cobaw Tour

Come with us on a group trail running adventure through the unmapped and forgotten Cobaw State Forest. Our Hidden Trails of Cobaw Tour is 26km of challenging, disorientating maze of single trail. This is a great tour to refine your trail flow skills. With breaks this run should take approximately 4-5 hrs to complete. This challenging loop has a progressive, runnable elevation of 1100m and will push your ability and test your pacing.

Cobaw is a part of the Macedon Ranges and is situated 70km north west of Melbourne. The Cobaw State Forest is a Special Protection Zone and has many significant environmental values. It includes highly significant habitat with threatened fauna such as the eastern pygmy-possum, powerful owl, brush-tailed phascogale and brown treecreeper. The Cobaw trails are a trail runners dream. Consisting of primarily single trails interconnected by 4wd access trails of varying technical difficulty.  These sections make for a great opportunity to regroup, take a breath and prepare for the next quality single trail section.

Our travel time from the CBD is approx 2 hours, which includes a 15 minute stop off for food, drink and toilet break.
