Come with us on a Gippsland group trail running adventure through the Walhalla Historic Area. We start with a climb out of Walhalla along the Australian Alps Walking Track and head towards the Thomson river. Take in the extensive views across the valley over the Thomson-Walhalla Historic Railway. We follow the trail, between the carved, steep forested slopes, before crossing the river at the old Steel footbridge and heading back to town. Our run take us through the historic mining and logging areas on stunning, green immersive single trail, 4wd and access tracks, river and creek crossings, steep climbs, switch backs and river lookouts.
Our Walhalla Tour is a 34km, 1300m elevation circuit, with breaks the full run should take approximately 5-5 1/2 hrs to complete.
Our travel time from the CBD is approx 2 hours 30 minutes, which includes a 15 minute stop off for food, drink and toilet break.
