Come with us on a group trail running snow adventure on the lands of the Taungurung Peoples in the stunning Yarra Ranges National Park. Visit their website to learn about how they are working to protect Taungurung cultural heritage and the rich indigenous history of our Country.

Situated between Melbourne and the Victorian Alps, the Yarra Ranges National Park is a place of epic views and majestic rainforest scenery. The Yarra Ranges spans an extensive, mountainous area of cool temperate forest around the three towns of Marysville, Healesville and Warburton. This national park is home to the world’s tallest flowering tree, the Mountain Ash, which towers over lush tree ferns and mossy Myrtle Beech. Dark gullies are home to clear streams which feed the Yarra River and major reservoirs from which Melbourne draws its drinking water. Lake Mountain hosts 37 kilometres of ski trail network through the surrounding Yarra Ranges National Park. It is an exclusively cross-country skiing resort.

Prepare to be immersed in the scenery as you don your snowshoes and traverse the snow covered Lake Mountain Alpine trails. Starting and finishing at the Lake Mountain resort, we will complete a 24km 800m loop with 19km of trail running and 5km of snow shoeing on the Lake Mountain trails. Snowshoes and a carrying system will be provided which will attach to your running pack, and our guides will walk you through how to use them.

We will enjoy snacks and coffee at the resort before heading down the mountain for a late lunch in Marysville and our return to the city.
