Description

CHALLENGE RATING: “Short sections of riverside rock scrambling, short technical ascents & descents, short sections of hiking at height”
Come with us on a private trail adventure tour around the stunning Werribee Gorge State Park. After our guided trail adventure we head to a local pub for brews and lunch before returning you to our bus drop off points. Our tour has options for either hiking or a cruisy self paced trail run. There is something for everyone on this tour.Â
Werribee Gorge State Park is Wurundjeri Peoples country. It has a spectacular variety of terrain providing for a fun, challenging and scenic day out. We will check out the impressive lookouts, search for the local wildlife and enjoy each others company as our guides lead you around this adventure playground. You don’t have to be super fit, just bring a “have a go” attitude and embrace the adventure.Â
This tour follows the winding Werribee River along the Gorge’s harsh cut cliff faces. We check out the scenic viewpoints over the Gorge and river before dropping down the ridge to follow the technical trails and sometime rock scrambles of the river trail and an old irrigation water channel back to our start/finish point.
With regular breaks and regroups this tour should take approximately 4 – 5 hrs to complete. Toilets are located at the start/finish points.Â
Starting and finishing at the Quarry Picnic area carpark on Myers rd, our tour takes in:
Werribee River
Quarry Picnic Area
Eastern Lookout
Western Lookout
Picnic Point
Lionhead Beach
Needles Beach
Wire rope scramble
We have something for everyone on this tour which will be lead by our experienced, fun loving tour guides.
